Experience has convinced us that mediation is the alternative to conflict because it saves time, effort, money, and negative emotions. Mediation is a small step that has a huge effect. We strive every day to evolve. You are the one who knows what you want and we will show you how to achieve it.
We are among the pioneers who built mediation in Bulgaria. We have worked as experts in establishing some of the first mediation centers in Bulgaria, including the judicial mediation program of the Sofia District Court. With hundreds of mediations, training of mediators, and mediation trainers, we can say that we are leaders in negotiating and reaching agreements.
The parties have equal opportunities to participate in the mediation procedure. They participate in the procedure of their own free will and may withdraw at any time. The procedure is non-binding and its end and beginning are determined by the free will of the parties.
Mediation is a confidential and discreet procedure and all discussions relating to the dispute are confidential. The parties shall keep confidential all circumstances, facts and documents which have come to their knowledge in the course of the procedure.
The mediator does not show partiality, does not influence the parties, and does not impose a decision on the dispute. In the mediation procedure, all issues are settled by mutual agreement of the parties. The mediator shall be an objective, impartial participant in the mediation procedure and shall have no interest in its outcome. It is these qualities, ascribed to him by law, that make mediation a fair procedure for resolving disputes.
We are deeply committed to the idea that mediation is the way to resolve disputes in today's dynamic world. We believe that the greatest value we possess is time and we do everything we can to convince people that it is not worth wasting in conflict. We deeply believe that mediation today can change our tomorrow, and we convey this belief to both the people who come to us to resolve a dispute and those we train as mediators.
Our work at the Dispute Resolution Center is an expression of our desire to make mediation even closer and more accessible. That’s why we will do our best to make sure that you get useful information, have access to a satisfying mediation process, and receive practical training in conflict resolution and negotiation techniques.
Years of work in negotiations and agreements give us the confidence to say that no dispute can be resolved. Our experience in the courtroom shows that no court decision will fully satisfy both parties. The solution that you negotiate is the solution that you find fair.
